One of our interns, Brittany Hurd, has been serving on the Young Professionals Council of a non-profit called Elevate Orlando for over a year now. Through this council she has had the opportunity to plan events to help raise awareness and monetary donations for the organization, as well as work closely with the recipients that are benefiting from this amazing organization.

Elevate Orlando is a non-profit organization that works to solve the issues that at risk youth face in the community and at home. This program is offered as an elective at currently three high schools in the Orlando area as well as in several middle schools and elementary schools feeding into those particular high schools. In this program, they are given the tools they need to succeed, including teacher mentors that are available 24/7. By the end of this program, the students are required and guaranteed to have a plan for the future, whether it is to attend a college or university or enlist in the army. This organization has already helped so many students that are at risk and is continuing to grow so that it can help many more.
