NAMPI is calling — and so is St. Louis.
Think you’ve seen all St. Louis has to offer?
Our Advize team is heading to NAMPI — and we’re sharing the gems only locals know.
Meet Us in St. Louis
Part 2: Culture, Nature, and Hidden Gems (from the Advize Team)
After covering the classics, we’re back with more local recs from our very own Advize team. This time, we’re going beyond the Arch — from Italian neighborhoods to free zoos and beautiful gardens.
In Part 1 of our series, we shared the icons: the Arch, toasted ravioli, The Muny, and more — all recommended by our very own Advize team. But when you’re in town for #NAMPI, you’ll want to explore beyond the brochure.
That’s where Part 2 comes in. We tapped into even more local knowledge to help you find St. Louis’ hidden gems — from peaceful green escapes and historic landmarks to where to grab the best Italian food on “The Hill.” Whether you’ve got an extra hour between sessions or a free evening with colleagues, we’ve got you covered.
Here’s how to experience STL the Advize way — thoughtful, connected, and just the right amount of off-the-beaten path.

Forest Park: Bigger Than Central Park
“You have to check out the Zoo. It’s free and you could spend the whole day there,” says Jessica Hamilton. “Forest Park is right next door — it’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of conference sessions.”
Forest Park is home to the Saint Louis Zoo, The Muny, the Art Museum, and miles of walking trails. You’ll find something no matter your pace.
Missouri Botanical Garden + The Hill
Near STL’s Little Italy — known simply as “The Hill” — you’ll find the beautiful Missouri Botanical Garden.
“The Hill has some of the best food,” says Jessica. “Try Zia’s, Mama’s, Charlie Gitto’s, or Rigazzi’s — and don’t miss the ‘fishbowl’ drinks at Rigazzi’s!”
Kimberly Holmes agrees: “There’s nothing like walking through Forest Park in the morning, then grabbing a cozy Italian meal nearby.”
A Piece of History: Dred Scott Courthouse
“The old courthouse where the Dred Scott case was heard is right by the Arch,” says Matt Kochanski. “It’s powerful to stand in a place where so much legal history happened.”
Top Golf for After-Hours Fun
“Top Golf is a fun way to unwind with a team,” says Jessica Hamilton. “Whether you’re actually golfing or just ordering appetizers — it’s a win.”
We believe professional development doesn’t end at the podium. It’s also in the conversations you have over toasted ravioli, the laughs during a ride to the top of the Arch, and the energy of discovering a new city together.
We hope these suggestions from our team help you get the most out of your #NAMPI experience.
