NAMPI is calling — and so is St. Louis.
Here’s where the Advize team actually recommends you go
when you’re not talking Medicaid fraud
Whether you’re heading there for #NAMPI, supporting your Medicaid program integrity mission, or just curious about this Midwestern gem, we’ve got you covered.
Instead of turning to Google, we turned to our own team here at Advize.
Some of them live in St. Louis, others are regular visitors — and all of them had something to say about what makes this city memorable.
From historic arches to controversial cheese, this is your inside scoop on how to enjoy STL — conference badge and all.
Gateway to Good Times — Exploring the Best of St. Louis
Part 1: Iconic Landmarks + Local Flavor (as recommended by Team Advize)
Have you been to St. Louis?
If you’re heading to #NAMPI or planning a visit, our own Advize team has you covered with insider tips and local favorites. From toasted ravioli to rooftop views, this city offers more than meets the eye.
We asked our team — some STL locals, others frequent visitors — what you need to see, do, and eat in the Gateway to the West.
Start Here: The Gateway Arch
“The Arch is so much more than a photo opp,” says Matt Kochanski. “It’s cool to learn about how they engineered a way to travel up a curve — and the views from the top are wild.”
Want a quick fact to impress your colleagues? Three Statues of Liberty can fit under it. Don’t skip the Museum at the Gateway Arch — it’s beautifully renovated.
Eat Local: Imo’s Pizza + Toasted Ravioli
“Toasted ravioli is a St. Louis creation,” shares Monica Luna, who lives in STL. “And the best place to try it is at Imo’s — you’ll also get a taste of our famous Provel cheese pizza.”
Imo’s opened in 1964 and now has over 100 locations. Love it or hate it, Provel is part of the STL story.
Catch a Show at The Muny
“If there’s a performance while you’re in town, The Muny is such a cool experience,” says Jessica Hamilton. “It’s in Forest Park and totally unique — Broadway under the stars!”
Try Your Luck at Ameristar
For something a little different, Kimberly Holmes recommends the Ameristar Casino. “It’s got great restaurants, entertainment, and just a fun vibe — definitely worth checking out.”
From conversations at the Arch to late-night ravioli debates, the best conference moments often happen outside the main stage. We’ll be back soon with Part 2: culture, nature, and even more STL gems from the Advize crew.
See you in St. Louis.
