Advize Health’s first webinar of the new year will be broadcasting live today from 2:00PM EST until 3:30pm EST. The program will break down the 2018 OIG Work Plan and provide an in-depth examination at the OIG (Office of Inspector General) and their efforts in the fight against fraud. From mandatory requirements, to laws and regulations, to suggestions on the implementation of OIG recommendations, this webinar will be an invaluable tool to healthcare professionals.
The OIG has clearly-defined responsibilities that encourage them to:
“[P]rotect the integrity of HHS programs and operations and the well-being of beneficiaries by detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse; identifying opportunities to improve program economy, efficiency, and effectiveness; and holding accountable those who do not meet program requirements or who violate federal health care laws.”
The mission of the OIG is honorable in its commitment to compliance, as is encompasses more than 100 programs administered at HHS, such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). A substantial 78% of OIG’s funding is directed towards OIG’s oversight of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
This presentation and its accompanying CEUs are free to the first 500 attendees, and will be later released on AdvizeU.
