This past September, the National Black MBA Association held their annual Conference and Career Expo in Orlando, FL. At this event, there were over 150 companies in attendance. Students from all over the country traveled to attend this event in hopes of networking and receiving potential leads on future career opportunities. One of these students included one of our interns, Brittany Hurd. As a part of our internship program, Advize Health provides interns with a membership to the NBMBAA. By providing this membership to our interns, we are encouraging them to expand their network and explore different career opportunities.
After attending the Conference and Career Expo, Brittany walked away feeling accomplished and confident going forward in her career, and had created relationships with several companies at the event.
Other benefits that the NBMBAA membership includes are networking events and meet and greets with companies and executives in various industries. They hold these events regularly in the areas that students populate and are very beneficial, especially for young professionals who are in the beginning stages of starting their careers.
