Advize Health’s webinars have been offered to medical coders, billers, auditors, and compliance specialists since late last year, earning attendees 1.5 AAPC-approved CEUs for each 90-minute session. This month, Advize Health is changing the game to offer attendees an executive experience. On August 31, Advize Health will be partnering with Dr. Phil Smith of MedMorph to deliver a broadcast on professional development entitled “Change Leadership for Health Care”. This unique webinar presentation appeals to all facets of the health care industry, with information relevant to C-suite executives, practice managers, medical coders and auditors, and clinicians.

Many experts state, and personal experience reminds us, that 80% of projects and new initiatives fail or do not meet our objectives, timelines, or budgets. Understanding the methods of Leading Change will provide attendees with a structure for looking at new projects and programs differently and improving execution, buy-in and outcomes. This presentation will be focused on helping leaders understand specific skills and abilities needed to achieve higher levels of success for their projects and initiatives. The objectives of this broadcast are industry focused; and attendees will leave with an understanding of why projects fail, the principles of Leading Change, as well as knowledge of frameworks that need to be applied to existing and future programs or projects in order to improve success.

Dr. Phil Smith is a dual-boarded physician (Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics) who accomplishes huge projects including automating healthcare operations, achieving high levels of physician adoption of these technologies as well as healthcare operations and analytics. He formerly served for 9+ years as Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer at the 44-hospital, multi-state Adventist Health System (which includes the Florida Hospital System) and most recently automated the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. He is author of Making Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) Work which is published internationally. He currently does independent healthcare management, analytics, and technology consulting and is an advisor to medical software companies, healthcare organizations, and to an innovative global medical device company.

Advize Health is committed to delivering educational excellence to our peers, and this complimentary webinar will deliver just that. If you’ve experienced difficulty in manifesting your professional vision or in applying your expertise in order to restructure or improve your practice, this broadcast will equip you and your team with the tools needed to enact change and facilitate growth within yourself and your business.
