This week I specifically went to Flemington for the Loftus Jiu Jitsu Academy where I had the honor of rolling with two Advize Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts. Michelle and Eric. BJJ is a sport I originally became interested in after watching UFC and becoming a big fan of the Diaz brothers. Although my main school, Advanced Martial Arts, is in North Brunswick, I love traveling to other places to see how the gyms differ and roll with different people.
This week my BJJ travels took me to Flemington, a charming, hidden borough surrounded by Raritan Township. I’ve known this town for being the birth place of Danny Federici, a longtime keyboardist for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, but this is the first time I’ve been able to spend time enjoying it. Here is a bit more information about the town, tremendous local businesses and beautiful gems. I highly recommend it as a place to visit in 2023.
