We managed to interrogate our newest SIU Investigator, Jessica Rodriguez, with some top tier healthcare reporting news anchor-like questions. This is how she stacked up under the pressure.
What were you doing before you joined Advize?
I was an Investigative Auditor for the Texas Attorney Generals Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
How did you and Advize “find each other?”
Alexis (Flickner) and I worked together for the OAG’s office, and she referred me. However, Jeanmarie and Eric spoke at a conference I attended for the OAG’s office last year and I have followed them on LinkedIn ever since.
When was the last time you worked incredibly hard?
When my son was an infant/toddler. I was working in the mornings and going to college in the afternoons/evening. It was hard work but very rewarding.
So, what do you like to do in your free time, like when you aren’t special investigating things?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have a 9-year-old son and a grumpy cat. We enjoy watching movies, cooking, and enjoying the outdoors.
What’s in your fridge right now?
A lot of snacks, fruit, and veggies. It’s summertime, school is out, and my 9-year-old is hungry every two hours.
What do you think of garden gnomes?
I think they are kind of creepy. I can’t help but side eye them when I walk past a garden gnome.
